Lucknow IPL players, coaches, and details revealed at IPL 2022: The 15th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be the biggest IPL season ever. The league, which touched on unparalleled feats in the past, is set to witness another fantastic year. The tournament has been expanded to include ten teams, and a mega auction is now waiting for the franchises to add more flavors.
Earlier, BCCI introduced The World, two new IPL franchises in Lucknow and Ahmedabad. Both teams will become operational from the upcoming IPL 2022. RPSG-owned Goenka Group has allocated a whopping INR 7,090 crore to acquire the Lucknow-based IPL concession while CVC Capitals Partners has awarded INR 5,625 crore to acquire the franchise in Ahmedabad.

RPSG Group of the Sanjiv Goenka is the owner of the Lucknow IPL team. RPSG won the bidding war for 7,090 crore (over US$932 million) to own the Lucknow Super Giants.

Sanjiv Goenka’s owned franchise has confirmed in the latest development the appointment of former Punjab Kings (PBKS) assistant coach Andy Flower as head coach for Lucknow. Andy Flower has been linked to the franchise for the upcoming season of the IPL.
It is important to note that Flower has trained the Kings of Punjab, Kings of Saint Lucia and Sultans of Multan. Besides cricket, Andy Flower was also associated with England at the 2010 T20 World Cup.

Lucknow IPL Team Coach – Gautam Gambhir
The RPSG-owned Lucknow IPL team has linked former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir who won the World Cup as the team’s mentor for IPL 2022. Gambhir will work closely with franchise in the advisory group. His records in international cricket for the India are impeccable. In fact, he has done very well in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
He led the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to only two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014. His brilliant mind in cricket has been recognized by the franchise.
“I respect his [Gautam Gambir] cricket mind and look forward to working with him,” the Lucknow franchisee said in a statement after the cricketer was appointed as the team advisor on December 18, 2021.

Sources close to development have reported that Lucknow’s IPL team has already named the top three players. The franchise is very clear in its intentions and has finished off the players it wants for next season.
Captain: Kannur Lokesh Rahul (KL Rahul)
Karnataka hitter KL Rahul is likely to join the Lucknow IPL next season. Rahul is said to be the first choice of Lucknow to be the captain of the team.
Kuala Lumpur Rahul has already separated from the Punjab Kings (PBKS). He was the captain of the PBKS but he couldn’t do well for his team. He was sloppy in his tactics and failed to use his resources to their strength pointed out by experts and cricket pundits.
However, the cricketer was remarkable with his fighting abilities. Its absolute consistency has won praise from all over the world. He scored 626 times in IPL 2021, 670 in IPL 2020 and 593 in IPL 2019.
